Over 2,000 members of the Muslim community are expected to mark the end of Ramadan during an event in St. John’s this week.
The Muslim Association of Newfoundland and Labrador is holding a prayer service to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr on Wednesday at the Techniplex in St. John’s.
The prayer service will get underway at 8 a.m.
Meanwhile, a children’s party will be held next Saturday at the French School premises on Ridge Road to celebrate the end of Ramadan.
That event is meant for preschoolers and school-aged children in the community, but admission requires online pre-registration through MANAL website.
