The U-Turn Drop-In Centre has received a funding boost from the provincial government to the tune of $84,000 to support its mental health and addictions services.
The centre offers peer support through various means, including in-person, online and telephone, as well as self-help and education groups weekly.
Specifically, the money will go toward peer support opportunities for people attending in-patient addictions treatment at the Grace Centre and Humberwood, as well as helping to make connections for their after-care.
