Cruise NL calls the 2023 cruise ship season in Newfoundland and Labrador “rejuvenating” and the province is looking forward to another banner year ahead.
Managing Director Erin Brennan, who is in Florida for Sea Trade – the largest cruise ship trade show in the world – says the industry has bounced back from the pandemic.
She says Newfoundland and Labrador welcomed 88,000 passengers onboard 116 ships last year.
She calls those “record-breaking” numbers from the previous year, and right now 144 ship calls are booked for this year – 14 of which are scheduled to visit the coast of Labrador. “It’s unbelievable,” says Brennan.
