The Inquiry Respecting the Treatment, Experiences and Outcomes of Innu in the Child Protection System will resume hearings next week in Sheshatshiu.
The hearings will centre around Innu health and well-being, Innu history, and the impact of child welfare in Innu communities.
The hearings are taking place at the Ussiniun Youth Centre next Monday through Friday.
Two witnesses are publicly scheduled to speak.
To honour Innu culture and heritage, the commission has invited elders to join the sessions each day to begin with a prayer or to lead in a moment of reflection.
The hearings will be streamed on Facebook.
