Funding to support the work of the Rotary Arts Centre was announced in Corner Brook this morning.
Area MHA Gerry Byrne says the arts are a major contributor to the province’s quality of life and also employs a large number of people.
He says funding will assist the Rotary Arts Centre to create a workforce development strategy, including a Executive Director and co-ordinator for visual and performance arts. A new Artist in Residence program for the centre has also been announced.
