It’s the first time they’ve won a Players’ Championship since 2016 and caps off another remarkable year for the group, who went straight to the tournament after winning silver at the World Championships in Switzerland just one week ago.
Skip Brad Gushue also made history last month, becoming the first skip to win the Brier Tankard six times.
The St. John’s-based rink will get the opportunity to play in front of a home crowd when they return next season as the Mary Brown’s Centre plays host to the KIOTI Grand Slam of Curling in November.
What an unbelievable week!
We want to thank all those involved with the @grandslamcurl Players' Championship for putting off an amazing event! This is an event we look forward to every year and to win it, it is the cherry on top! pic.twitter.com/XjDhS7K4M0
