Canada and G7 countries met today to coordinate a rebuke following Iran’s attack on Israel on Saturday.
Iran launched around 300 missiles and drones at targets inside Israel, but Israeli officials say the country and its allies were able to intercept about 99 per cent of them.
Iran has declared the operation over.

In a joint statement, the leaders “unequivocally condemn in the strongest terms Iran’s direct and unprecedented attack against Israel.”
The leaders will be working together to stabilize the situation to prevent further escalation.

Meanwhile, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre says Canada must work with allies to hold the Iranian regime accountable.

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said on X that “Canada must do everything in its power to de-escalate the situation.”
