Applications are now open for the 2024 Summer Camp Inclusion Grant.
This is the second year of the grant program. It provides financial assistance to pay for a support person so children with disabilities can participate in summer camps.
The support person can be an inclusion worker, a caregiver, an attendant, an ASL interpreter, a designated staff member or a person appointed by a family to support their child’s needs.
The grant provides up to $1,000 to families with children with disabilities who require a support person to attend a camp, or up to $5,000 to organizations providing summer camps who will hire inclusion workers to support children with disabilities.
Nine organizations and eight families availed of the pilot program in 2023.
