The provincial government will join with End Homelessness St. John’s to run a transitional housing operation at the old Airport Comfort Inn in St. John’s.
In January the province announced a three-year lease agreement for the 140 room facility at a cost of $21 million.
Since then, questions have been raised about the progress being made to help those who encounter the greater difficulties in getting safe, affordable housing.
Executive Director of End Homelessness St. John’s, Doug Pawson will oversee operations at the facility along with NL Heath Services and various other community partners.
