The capital city has recognized a number of people for their contributions to the community.
The Applause Awards were held Wednesday night at the St. John’s Convention Centre.
Awards were presented in a number of categories including Senior of the Year, Youth of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Athletes of the Year, as well as heritage, tourism, housing design, and climate change leadership.
