A restructuring firm says several bidders have offered to buy all or part of the two companies which operate Atlantic Canada’s largest newspaper enterprise—a development which could allow The Telegram in St. John’s to continue publishing.
Saltwire is said to be in debt to the tune of $90-million. Toronto-based KSV Restructuring says there have been bids to purchase Saltwire and the Halifax Herald but it does not provide much detail.
Operations at The Telegram have been carrying on as normal.
