The RNC is investigating after people were approached, assaulted, and robbed near the Mundy Pond walking trail.
The incident occurred around noon yesterday.
Constable James Cadigan says a man approached two people on the trail near the parking lot.
The man, described as “large” took a bag from one of the two people, and ran off up Mundy Pond Road all the way to Blackler Avenue.
Police say the man, who was wearing dark clothes, is described as tall, about 6 feet, and heavy set, with a bald head.
It’s not clear at this time whether or not the incident was random, or targeted. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers.
