Changes may soon be coming to caps in place in small claims court in the province.
PC Justice Critic Helen Conway-Ottenheimer raised the issue in the House of Assembly earlier this week.
She says civil claims within small claims court are currently capped at $25,000. Conway-Ottenheimer says other provinces have raised those limits, and asks if this province will do the same.
Justice Minister John Hogan says a review is underway of the Provincial Court Act. As part of that he says they will be reviewing the limits in place at small claims court.
