RNC were out in full force over the past week patrolling for heavy foot drivers and other infractions on our highways.
Over 400 tickets were issued during Canada Road Safety Week within RNC jurisdictions across the province.
Drivers were ticketed for various infractions from cell phone usage, insecure cargo, and speeding. The highest speed to pop up on the Constabulary’s radar was 163 km/h on the Trans Canada near Thomas Pond.
Eleven vehicles were seized by police and eight drivers had their license revoked.
One person was found to be driving while impaired and a second investigation is underway into a possible drug impaired driver.
