RNC have made a number of arrests in connection with ongoing investigations into violence reported at recent unauthorized field parties coinciding with the end of the school year.
Early Saturday morning officers were called to a field off the Torbay Bypass Road in Torbay where teens had gathered for a party.
A teen, who it appears had been randomly targeted, was treated by paramedics for injuries suffered in an assault.
As a result, two young people were arrested on Thursday and charged.
A 15-year-old boy is facing charges of assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
A 16-year-old-boy is facing a similar raft of charges in addition to breach of a court order. The RNC say the same 16-year-old is also facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm stemming from another gathering in the same area early Monday morning.
Earlier this week RNC issued a warning to students and parents to be aware of the dangers of unauthorized gatherings, which can get out of hand very quickly and easily.
