House Speaker Derek Bennett is taking the ceremonial Mace on tour as part of an education and outreach initiative.
The Mace Tour will see Bennett and other house officials visit schools and host other community events.
The goal is to increase community awareness and engagement with Parliament for people in areas who cannot readily visit the legislature in person.
The tour is part of the 75th anniversary of confederation initiatives, with the current Mace being gifted to this province from BC upon joining Canada.
