The Greenhouse Growing Dome in downtown Corner Brook is celebrating its grand opening today.

They’re holding an open house and work party to celebrate the occasion.

Katie Temple, the executive director of the Western Environment Centre, says from the outside the dome looks “a little bit futuristic.”

Once inside, she says the dome looks and feels a lot bigger.

Temple says it is full of light with a lot of raised beds, and they have a pond inside that helps them regulate the temperature for optimal growing conditions.

The event kicks off at 10 a.m.
