The rain, drizzle, and fog that has overtaken most of the metro region will be sticking around for most of this week, according to Environment Canada.
Meteorologist David Neil says there’s a low pressure system to the south of the island that’s “not really budging,” and there’s a high pressure system to the north.
Those conditions combined are what’s making the RDF stick around, according to Neil, particularly for areas that are east, or northeast facing.

He says the “dreary, miserable conditions” will stick around until at least the weekend.
It’s a different story in parts of Labrador. It will be sunny with temperatures in the mid to high twenties in the Upper Lake Melville region and Lab City-Wabush for the better part of the week.
