The Canadian Cancer Society is looking for drivers.

The Wheels of Hope program provides volunteer drivers willing to bring people to their treatments and follow-up appointments who might otherwise have difficulty getting there.

Mark Kahan with volunteer recruitment at the Canadian Cancer Society says he started out as a volunteer driver and found the experience very rewarding.

He was surprised and humbled by how everyone expressed their gratitude for the ride. “I thought at first I’d be dealing with very sad people, and honestly, I could not have been more wrong. They lifted my spirits up.”

You must have a valid driver’s license and your vehicle must be smoke-free.
