RCMP have charged an Ontario man with manslaughter following a shooting in Little Burnt Bay on the weekend.
Fifty-seven-year-old Ricky Nelson Wareham has been charged for the shooting.
A 36-year-old man was found dead Sunday night after being shot. Wareham was arrested at the scene that night without incident.
The accused and the victim were related, but the Mounties are not giving any specifics.
It is believed that Wareham arrived in Newfoundland and Labrador recently, and he had been spending time between both provinces.
Now, RCMP Corporal Jolene Garland says they are trying to piece together a timeline of events leading up to the shooting.
She says officers will be looking to gather any pertinent information, which could include things such as an overheard conversation or suspicious activity. Anyone with information should contact RCMP.
Wareham made a court appearance earlier today.
