What’s been an unrelenting spate of rain, drizzle and thick fog in the metro region for the last few weeks is proving a challenge to drivers.
At times, depending on the area or elevation, visibility is reduced to just a few feet, making driving especially challenging.
RNC Constable James Cadigan says it’s important to adjust your driving to the current conditions.
“Fog, rain, heavy rain, you know it can really impact our ability to be safe operating on our roads, so you really want to be vigilant in those conditions.”
In the meantime, a respite from the fog is coming for residents of the northeast Avalon. The sun is forecast to emerge on Saturday with sunshine on Sunday before returning to showers on Monday.
