RCMP are investigating a case of arson in Bishop’s Falls early Monday morning.

Police say the occupants of a home in Penton Heights heard a loud noise and noticed a person in dark clothing running away in the direction of Centre Access Road.

The occupants noticed a fire and had extinguished the blaze themselves by the time the local fire department arrived on the scene.

Damage was significant, but there were no injuries.

Police are asking anyone with possible surveillance footage in the area shortly after midnight on Monday, June 17 to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
