As the East Coast Music Awards prepare to return to the province for a live awards show for the first time in a decade, the organization’s CEO says the annual event is more than simply an awards show.
The 2025 ECMAs are being held in St. john’s next May.
CEO Blanche Israël says it is “amazing” to see what the awards bring to their host cities, especially in PEI this year and this province next year, given they haven’t had the event in so long.
She says local musicians are getting excited.
She says it is not only an important business event, but it is also a chance for musicians to get together with their colleagues, “get inspired,” and collaborate.
