The City of Mount Pearl is hosting an open house later this week for developers to learn more about its Housing Accelerator Fund Incentive Program.
The city reached a deal with the federal government earlier this year which they say will expedite the construction of 180 housing units directly, with a goal of 386 units over the next three years.
The city says they are providing incentives to create more housing units, optimize existing spaces, and redevelop underutilized parcels of land.
In total, they estimate developers could save upwards of $100,000 through the program.
The event is taking place from 8:30 to 10:30 Wednesday morning at Mount Pearl City Hall.
