A local runner who has crossed the finish line in road races all over the world says nothing compares to the 16 km trek that is the Tely 10.
Eight-time women’s champion Kate Bazeley won the women’s title for the fourth consecutive year after crossing the finish line in a little under 56 minutes on Sunday.
Despite having run the Tely 10 multiple times, she says the race is just as special every time.
“This race has a lot of my heart for running,” Bazeley told the Tim Powers Show on VOCM. When it comes to local races, she says the Tely is the big one and is often a goal on many people’s bucket list, so she’s happy to be able to share that atmosphere with them.
