There is a “No Space for Hate” rally taking place in St. John’s tomorrow.
The rally was originally scheduled for Friday, but it was postponed due to weather.
Organizer Sarah Worthman says the rally is to show support for the LGBTQ+ community, which is facing an “unprecedented rise” in hate.
According to Worthman, support for the community is on the decline across the country. She says to have any chance of fighting the hate and ensuring their rights aren’t rolled back, they need other people to stand up with them.
The rally is happening at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Harbourside Park in the capital city’s downtown.
