Rainfall warnings are out for parts of the island with a dumping in the offing from Mother Nature.
When all is said and done tomorrow morning, the Avalon Peninsula and Burin Peninsula could have had 75 to 85 mm of rain.
Last month was the wettest June on record in the metro region, smashing a record set almost 150 years ago according to Angelie Menard, a meteorologist at the Gander Weather Office.
The capital city recorded 214 mm of rain in June, topping the 199 mm set in 1891. It’s a case of two extremes as Labrador was hot and dry last month.
