A major transportation route in the capital city has reopened.
The CN Viaduct, which allows traffic to access and leave the downtown area via Pitts Memorial Drive, is open to traffic once again.
That should come as relief to residents of Waterford Bridge Road who have seen an increase in traffic volume – and speed – on the narrow road since the viaduct was closed last month for concrete repair work.
The viaduct, the main route in and out of the downtown, was supposed to be closed for another week, but government says the work was completed ahead of schedule.
