The Council of the Federation – a gathering of the country’s provincial and territorial premiers – takes place this coming week in Halifax.

Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston says discussion will continue on “revitalizing cooperative federalism” an issue highlighted in a post-budget letter to the Prime Minister earlier this year.

The best solutions to challenges faced in the country can be found when all governments work together according to Houston.

Also on the agenda next Tuesday and Wednesday will be housing and affordability, health care, infrastructure, energy, Canada-US relations, emergency preparedness and Arctic security.
