Time Trials for the Royal St. John’s Regatta went off without a hitch Saturday morning as the weather cooperated to help set the stage for Race Day, Wednesday, August 7.
The men’s field was not as tightly contested as the women’s. Capital Home Hardware topped the men in 9:39, almost 20 seconds better than 2nd place East Coast Kia (9:57). Torbay was another 20 seconds behind Kia.
It was a different story in the women’s category as Volkswagon crossed the line in 5:13.28 and Smith Stockley 5:17.92. Hyflodraulic (5:23), Dawe & Burke (5:24) and Momentum Health (5:31) round out the top five.
