The provincial government and the town of Portugal Cove St. Phillips are putting up $3.8-million for drinking water upgrades for the town.
Government says people in the Indian Meal Line area are currently impacted by a water supply issue.
The money, cost shared by both levels of government, will be for the installation of a new water supply for the area.
The project will encompass Olympic Drive, Princeton Place and Pratt Place, and create what government says is a “permanent solution” to issues in the area.
