Over 60 high school students from across the country converged at the MUN campus in St. John’s last month looking at green energy solutions.
The students, from grades 10 and 11, were in the province as part of an annual Shad Canada program.
They participated in a variety of workshops, lectures and field trips, with the ultimate goal of working on a design project for green energy.
The project includes a 20-page business plan, video pitch, presentation and prototype.
Members of the public are invited to an open day at the R. Gushue Hall on the St. John’s campus this Thursday where students will be on hand to share their creations.
It is happening from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
