A 47-year-old ATV driver was arrested following an early-morning crash in Bonavista North that resulted in serious injuries to a passenger on board.
RCMP in New-Wes-Valley responded to the call around 2:30 last Friday morning on Country Road in Indian Bay.
The passenger of the machine was taken to hospital in Gander, but the driver left the scene before police arrived. He was found at a nearby home and arrested for impaired driving. According to police he provided breath samples that were twice the legal limit.
