The first of two full weekends of the Churchill Park Music Festival has come to an end, with thousands descending on the festival grounds Friday and Saturday.
Pitbull entertained the crowd Saturday night, and Nickelback kicked off the weekend on Friday.
The “Lucky 7” crew members of the Elite Navigator, who survived more than 48 hours in a life raft at sea last month, received VIP treatment by Premier Andrew Furey. The band even invited the crew backstage before the show.
The Churchill Park Music Festival continues this weekend with three sold-out shows featuring Shania Twain in her only Canadian performances this summer.
A huge thank you to Nickelback for making this a special night for the Lucky Seven! The band members even invited the fishermen backstage before their concert at Churchill Park.
What a class act and what a fantastic show they are putting on tonight! @Nickelback #rockstar pic.twitter.com/fiXbcp7Uwa— Premier of NL (@PremierofNL) August 10, 2024
