People planning to use Pitts Memorial Drive today should be prepared for a change along the major thoroughfare.
It involves continuing work on the overpass that leads in and out of downtown St. John’s.
The change will only be in effect from 7:30 a.m. until about 1 p.m., and will see traffic control measures that were in the eastbound lanes, including pylons and electric road signs, moved to the westbound lanes.

The moves are necessary to allow bridge repair work, including new asphalt, to continue.
Officials say your best bet might be to find another route, if possible, to avoid delays.
And a reminder that speeding in construction zones can net you a fine ranging from $100 to $1,500.
