New transitional housing is being established in Gander through government funding to the tune of $1.3 million.
$430,000 is being used to allow the Central Residential Services Board to purchase a property on Airport Boulevard in Gander, with $859,000 being provided for operational funding.
The Central Residential Services Board will oversee the operation of the facility, hire staff and manage day-to-day operations.
The building will house up to 15 people with transitional housing beds, and supports.
