The Memorial University Students Union says it’s fielding complaints over construction around campus.

Nicolas Keough says the construction around MUN is creating barriers to accessing education. He called the work “poor planning” by the city.

He told VOCM Open Line with Paddy Daly that the work couldn’t have come at a worse time.

“Suddenly, as soon as the school year started, there was much more construction, and that has to do with the Canada Summer Games coming next summer. We feel as though much more planning should have been put into this when they decided to host the Canada Summer Games because this is really impacting students and their ability to access their education.”
