Federal NDP leader Jagmeet Singh is gaining attention for the way he handled a confrontation with protestors on parliament hill on Tuesday.
Video posted to social media shows Singh being followed by two protestors. Then, a voice yells out that Singh is a “corrupted B—-rd ”
It is not clear who yelled out the insult, or if the person was one of the men visible on camera.
Singh then turns around and approaches the men to confront them about what was said.
When confronted by Singh, both men deny being responsible, with one man stating it must have been someone behind him. Singh presses further, and when one of the men maintains his innocence the leader calls him a “coward” who wouldn’t say it to his face.
People from the far-right group that disrupted the Terry Fox ceremony this morning just got into an altercation with Jagmeet Singh
One guy calls Singh a corrupted bastard. Singh asks him to say it to his face. The guy lies and denies saying it, despite video showing he said it https://t.co/P2Xh5nRgqB pic.twitter.com/RTqAqwbKqe
