Agropur is issuing a voluntary recall of some Central Dairies milk products under specific code dates as a result of complaints surrounding the premature spoilage of milk.
The recall involves Central Dairies and S’milk 2 per cent milk products with expiry dates between September 20th and September 30th.
The dates include September 20th, 24th, 25th, 27th, and 30th.
Anyone who has one of those products can return them to the store where they bought them and a credit will be issued.
Last week VOCM News reported that some customers had taken to social media with pictures of black residue inside milk cartons.
At the time Agropur, the parent company of Central Dairies indicated that it was aware of the issue and that it was isolated and did not pose a risk to the health and safety of consumers.
Corrective measures have been put in place and the company says any products with an expiry date after October 1st were processed after the changes were made.
