St. John’s Pride is offering community support in the wake of the passing of a well known local drag performer.
Johnathan Nichol of Marystown, performed under the name of Reign Michaels, a popular local star in the local drag community.
The 30-year-old died suddenly and unexpectedly on the weekend.
A gathering is planned from 6:30 to 8:00 this evening at Quadrangle on Elizabeth Avenue to allow people to come together and to provide help to those who may require support.
St. John’s Pride says it’s “in moments like this, (that) it’s essential to lean on your chosen family” as they honour Reign’s spirit and the impact they had.
