Although the end of the month may not have felt like it, Newfoundland and Labrador recorded above average temperatures in September.
According to Environment Canada meteorologist David Neil last month “was a strange one.”
He says overall, temperatures were above normal, with some new daily temperature records being set in some areas.
However, all of that occurred within the first two-thirds of the month, and as Neil explains, things dropped off toward the end.
He says the “carpet has been pulled out from under us” and temperatures now are more indicative of later in the fall season.
