As we get down in the fall, it’s time to ditch the light clothing for heavier items to keep us warm. Enter the VOCM Cares Coats for Kids campaign.
Registration for the store will open on Monday, October 21. Local charities in the St. John’s area come before the store opens to the public to get clothing items for people in their community. If people who need winter clothing miss registration, they can visit charities in town to get their winter clothing as well.
Sarah Newell, VOCM Cares development coordinator, says Newfoundland Power is again partnering with them to help keep people warm this winter.

Items being accepted include gently-used or new winter clothing—baby and adult sizes—warm coats, hats, mitts, scarves, snow pants, and boots.
Businesses, offices, families—anyone can collect donations. Once Businesses have collected their donations, they can drop them off to our pop-up store on the first floor of the Village Mall.
