Six teams from Newfoundland and Labrador will test themselves against the top clubs in Canada this week as they take part in the Toyota National Championships beginning tomorrow.
Defending national champions Holy Cross Nutra Holdings begin their Jubilee Trophy title defence in Surrey, B.C. against Scarborough, Ontario, then meet Surrey on their home turf on Thursday. The women are looking for an historic three-peat.
Holy Cross men also begin action at the Challenge Cup nationals tomorrow, going up against Quebec. The men won a bronze a couple of years ago.
The U-17 Cup takes place in Sydney, Nova Scotia where the St. John’s U17 girls try to build on last year’s effort which saw them finish fourth overall. The U17 boys are represented by CBS.
U15 girls are represented by Paradise while U15 boys are based in St. John’s.
