Police have laid impaired driving charges in connection with a vehicle-pedestrian collision in St. John’s one month ago.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 8, at the intersection on Kenmount Road and Polina Road, in front of the Avalon Mall.
Police say a man was seriously injured when he was struck by a grey, four-door, Honda Civic.
They say the victim continues to recover and receive treatment for his injuries.
The driver, a 27-year-old man who was visiting from Ontario at the time, faces charges of impaired driving causing bodily harm, and dangerous driving causing bodily harm, among other counts.
He was released with a summons to appear in provincial court on Nov. 15.
