The parent company of Central Dairies says since some equipment in their manufacturing process was replaced and deep-cleaned, the number of complaints surrounding milk spoilage has declined.
Agropur was responding to persistent reports of black residue in some 2 per cent milk products.
The company acknowledges that some complaints are still coming in, but those numbers have steadily declined since quality improvement efforts began. Agropur expects that further improvements should be noticed in products with ‘best before’ dates later in October.
