A dramatic chase by police ended with a 29-year-old in custody this morning.
In the midnight hour, police responded to calls near Torbay Road of a car swerving all over the road.
When police flashed their lights, the driver would not stop, and their pursuit was on.
Police chased the vehicle to Indian meal line, where officers threw a spike belt, hoping to stop the driver.
That did not happen.
Instead, with flat tires, the driver sped off into a wooded road.
Police then utilized their vehicle to force the suspect vehicle off the road.
The 29-year-old then tried to make a run for it out the passenger door but eventually gave up.
He’ll appear in court for charges of flight from police and dangerous operation of a vehicle.
