St. John’s-based Avalon Holographics has been given a boost by the province to help pioneer an advanced 3D holographic display.
NOVAC allows a group of people to view the same holographic display without having to use 3D glasses or virtual reality headsets.
NOVAC created holographic images that allow the viewer to see depth without the headaches and other side-effects associated with 3D visual displays.
The province is providing Avalon Holographics with just over $1 million dollars, while the company is investing another $1.7 million in the project.
