The top online doctor in the province has been summoned to appear before the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador—and he expects to be suspended.

Dr. Todd Young, who is based in the Green Bay area, will appear at a disciplinary hearing in St. John’s tomorrow.

He launched Medicuro, an online service to treat patients, prescribe medicine, etc.

Medicuro Virtual Health will continue to operate in his absence with the presence of three doctor colleagues.

Todd Young expects his suspension to be of short duration, but he did not specify the nature or source of the allegation against him. He posted the notice of the hearing and accompanying information to Facebook.
