A 27-year-old St. John’s man is due to appear in court today on charges stemming from a carjacking in the capital city.
RNC arrested Henry Fitzgerald after a cab driver reported that he was assaulted and pulled form his cab on Livingstone Street on Tuesday, October 8. The culprit then made off with the taxi, which was found abandoned a short while later.
RNC say Fitzgerald is facing charges of vehicle theft, robbery, and breach of probation.
He’s already before the courts on charges of theft under $5,000 and failing to follow court orders.
He was held in custody pending a court appearance.
