The RNC says it’s alarming to see someone driving at speeds in excess of 200 km/h.
A 26-year-old has been charged with dangerous driving and has had his licence suspended after he was clocked driving at 201 km/h last night on the Outer Ring Road.
RNC Constable James Cadigan says those kinds of speeds go beyond the Highway Traffic Act.
“This is a criminal matter now,” says Cadigan. “When you reach those kinds of speeds, that is a dangerous driving charge, and that individual is going to now have a day in provincial court to answer to a criminal offence.”
